David Preston was born in paisley, Scotland. His early years took him to Melbourne Australia, returning to the UK 13 years ago, David is now based in London. Musician, designer, historian and qualified nurse, David brings his passion for quality footwear to you all, born out of a desire to see his favourite styles made with simplicity, elegance, quality and attention to every detail.

The David Preston brand was born in 2010 after a trip to his favourite bespoke shoemaker. Realising that the shoes he wanted to wear were never going to be widely available for similarly discerning minds, the seeds were sewn for the brand we have today.

The idea; to take classic styles, make them with great lasts, beautiful skins, all-leather soles and heel components, brought together in factories using traditional handmade and ethical methods.

Now, in 2013, David Preston is pleased to have some of the biggest names in rock and roll, sport and fashion as loyal customers.
