Our heavy weight sweatshirts are made in our own unique 500gsm Tomlinson Loop weave cotton fabric, as they were in the 1950’s. The sweatshirts have an athletic fit with thick ribbed hem and cuffs that hold the sweatshirt in place underneath a jacket. The style is reminiscent of the classic race sweaters of the 1940’s.
The chest features an heavy embroidered logo that we originally created using letterpress print. The garment was dip dyed in mustard to create a uniform colour across all elements. We then added a double enzyme wash to break down the cotton for a soft slubby feel and to give the dye a natural fade, for the worn in look.
Produced in limited numbers sized for me and women size xs-xl.

As part of our ten year anniversary we set out to create a limited range of goods that really exemplify our approach to craft and design. We were inspired by the styles of 1970’s New York street gangs who began customising their own garments using Heat press letters available at local print shops. We worked with back yard print duo Motorthreads who developed a laborious print process to replicate the originals. Each design was screen printed on to heat transfer paper then each element individually laid ouit by hand, giving each piece a unique hand finished quality. To balance the print we used a super heavy weight 220g organic cotton t-shirt in off white.

We made a double thick Pique cotton fabric for this shirt which is soft, durable and breathable. The fabric was hand dyed Mustard and Ash Black and pre-washed to stop any shrinkage. We added extra long ribbed cuffs and a western yoke on the back of the neck line. A small embroidered Bolt Motorcycles logo sits on the chest. Sizes run from extra small to extra large and they are unisex.
