BOLT / Hotel Radio Party

This whole event started when some old friends came down to see their favourite punk band, Wonk Unit, play a gig in Camden.  A few days later they had hatched a plan - how about we host them in your space, and hell we could even support them, err yeah alright then.  It had been 15 years since I had put them on the bill for their first gig so it seemed about time to do it again.

Hotel Radio had set up cameras and sound equipment and streamed the gig live to all corners of the globe.  The gig was relayed over the pond to the boys at Brooklyn beers and various other spots, and a staggering total of 19 000 viewers watched online.

We kicked off with the Kenneths, headed up by Lou, a good friends of BOLT who has been riding by on his 70's honda over the past year.  Wonk Unit followed and then tattooist Simon Erl took to the turntables and kept the party going.

Drinks flowed, ran out, restocked and flowed some more and the party dragged on until five in the morning.  This allowed just enough time to clean the place up and open for another day.

Special thanks to the Kenneths, Wonk Unit, Simon Erl and Dark arts for keeping the music on point, and to all those that came and partied!

Until the next one, which incidentally is tomorrow!
